Make Instruments at Home

Musical instruments come in all shapes and sizes and are made of lots of different materials around the world. Metal cans, wooden sticks, nutshells, bottle caps, anything you can think of!

It's easy to make your own simple instruments at home. I made these drums and shakers out of old containers and some decorative duct tape, as well as a piece of construction paper that one of the children colored and some contact paper.

A drum!

I added a tiny bit of rice to this one to make a shaker.
